We believe your pet’s time away from home should be as much like home as possible. We have organized our pet resort and suites to reflect this concept. Each pet will have a cageless environment, with a warm, inviting color scheme and artwork in each suite. Every pet will have a petcot, a comfortable above the floor option for rest times. Webcam access can be available during the day to check on your pet. A movie can be selected for your pet to watch if you choose as well. We will accommodate your pet’s specific feeding, husbandry, and medical needs and make your pet’s stay an unforgettable one.
Upper Paw Doggie Playcare
We want to provide a home away from home for your dog while you are away! Upper Paw is a compassionate, clean, and playful environment where they will receive respect, individual attention, and multiple opportunities to play or relax. We believe this interaction while you are gone will help to continue to build the human animal bond that is so important for your pet!
To Play or Not to Play? What to expect...
Playcare for your dog is an excellent way to encourage socialization for your pet! Playcare also provides a safe, healthy, supervised environment for your dog; however, we want to make sure you are aware of the realities of dogs playing in large groups before you make the commitment to playcare!
Every dog at Upper Paw Doggie Playcare will go through an interview and temperament evaluation in order to make sure that our environment will be beneficial to your pet. We want to eliminate unpredictable behavior that may put other pets or staff members in harm’s way. Safety is number one! If your pet is not adapting to our environment well, we will definitely communicate with you and help you with other options. We will help to find the best environment for your pet!
Dogs are susceptible to environmental diseases just like people. We will do everything we can to keep our pets and staff safe and healthy! If your pet has any of the following symptoms, please protect our other pets and keep your pet home.
| Kennel cough: | cough, sneeze, runny nose |
| External parasites: | flea or tick presence, ringworm, sarcoptic mange mites |
| Giardia: | diarrhea or vomiting with or without blood |
Don’t forget we do have our in house veterinary hospital downstairs. So if your pet needs veterinary attention, we will be more than happy to take care of them so they can get back to Upper Paw happy and healthy!
We will strive to keep every pet clean! A playcare environment unfortunately exposes your pet to crowd control issues…..urine, defecation, and drool; but, our attentive staff will keep your pet clean throughout the day so they are looking and smelling great when they go home!
As everyone knows, when dogs get together, a “pack mentalitiy” can set in and sometimes we at Upper Paw must intervene for safety. If you do not see your pet playing, he or she may be removed from the play area briefly for a time out in order to keep everyone safe and happy. We want to keep nips, scrapes, and punctures to a minimum or completely eliminated!
The bottom line at Upper Paw is we want everyone to have fun in a safe and loving environment!
